September 2019 Meal Plan

September 2019 Meal Plan

My summer has officially ended! Back to school madness has begun and I will soon be carpooling, homework helping, PTA joining and field trip check writing again from now until what will feel like eternity!

Speaking with many friends and followers of my blog over the summer, has lead me to the conclusion that putting together a MENU PLAN for the WHOLE MONTH could be helpful to alleviate the pressure of coming up with dinner ideas for the weeknights. And so.. I’ve put together a calendar to help with ideas to get the wheels turning. Granted, I know, every family is different, some kids don’t this or that- so feel free to adjust to fit your own needs. And if you are ever interested in having a custom meal plan created for you, and or in person lessons on how to carry out the recipes let me know! I’m here to help!

One the calendar below you will find that at least 1, and sometimes 2 of the nights will be a Meatless Meal! Besides being super nutritious, going plant based a couple times a week is so important for all of us to try to implement as it leaves a lighter environmental footprint. I’m not going to get into a big debate or start a persuasive essay on the subject. I’m sure this is not news to you. Eliminating meat from at least SOME meals, is a really great thing all around!

Also you will find that I just MIGHT be addicted to my Instant Pot – especially on weekdays! I know I’ve tried to sell you on this idea before, but if you still haven’t gotten one, I’ll say it again- you are missing out. Crock Pots are nice, but why have a meal cook slow when it could cook FAST and provide the same amount (if not more) moisture and succulence of slow cooking? If your ready to pull the trigger on that, this is the link to the one I have, and if you purchase through that link- I make a small commission at no additional cost to you *win- win*

Also, I will note that not all recipes are mine! Some links will take you to other blogs that I use and love, while others will keep you in house on Salt Sugar Spice. Either way, you are going to get a balanced, wholesome, relatively quick and easy recipe for you and your family to enjoy! Feel free to let me know in the comments how things turned out, if you have a questions or need some other suggestions on tweaking to make this work for you!

The webpage view is below. However, you may also download and customize the Meal Plan with our Word version or download the Adobe version to simply print and hang on the fridge. I plan to make this a monthly thing- so you can count on in October as well! Stay Tuned!
