October 2019 Meal Plan

October 2019 Meal Plan

October might be my most favorite month of all- it’s like the Grand Finale in a fireworks display! All the brilliant colors, cool crisp air, school year routines are starting to settle in, and all the while- every where I go I see pumpkin and apples galore, brilliant colors, cozy sweaters and all the candles smell like warm, delicious cinnamon! Yeah I may be biased because I’m a huge Halloween fan- but I’m riding this wave of October fun, before jam packed and hectic November/ December rolls in!

And, as promised, I’m here to make the month go a litter smoother for you with some dinner suggestions and recipes for each weeknight AND this time I’ve also added a little special breakfast recipe for you on Saturday!!

On the calendar below you will find that at least 1, and sometimes 2 of the nights will be a Meatless Meal! Besides being super nutritious, going plant based a couple times a week is so important for all of us to try to implement as it leaves a lighter environmental footprint. I’m not going to get into a big debate or start a persuasive essay on the subject. I’m sure this is not news to you. Eliminating meat from at least SOME meals, is a really great thing all around!

Also you will find that I just MIGHT be addicted to my Instant Pot – especially on weekdays! I know I’ve tried to sell you on this idea before, but if you still haven’t gotten one, I’ll say it again- you are missing out. Crock Pots are nice, but why have a meal cook slow when it could cook FAST and provide the same amount (if not more) moisture and succulence of slow cooking? If your ready to pull the trigger on that, this is the link to the one I have, and if you purchase through that link- I make a small commission at no additional cost to you *win- win*

Also, I will note that not all recipes are mine! Some links will take you to other blogs that I use and love, while others will keep you in house on Salt Sugar Spice . Either way, you are going to get a balanced, wholesome, relatively quick and easy recipe for you and your family to enjoy! Feel free to let me know in the comments how things turned out, if you have a questions or need some other suggestions on tweaking to make this work for you!

The webpage view is below. However, you may also download and customize the Meal Plan with our Word version or download the Adobe version to simply print and hang on the fridge. I plan to make this a monthly thing- so you can count on in October as well! Stay Tuned!
