Finally, an excuse to eat a copious amount of mangos!! Zesty, sweet, and mildly spicy- this Mango, Jalapeno & Citrus Salsa is easy to prepare, and perfect served with chips as a salsa or as a juicy, refreshing side salad. Summer in a bowl, baby!

Now, this is a recipe that takes me back to my South Florida roots! When I take a bite I’m suddenly transported to an oceanside patio shaded by breezy lush palm trees enjoying a plate freshly caught seafood served alongside.. you guessed it- this Mango, Jalapeno & Citrus Salsa!

Yas, honey.. take me back!!

Unfortunately, with the way Covid-19 progressing down there in the Sunshine State, I don’t see a beautiful Florida beach in my forecast anytime soon!

Luckily, I can still eat as if I were there. As this bright, colorful, citrusy Mango salsa is at my fingertips any time, anywhere!

Ingredients Needed for Mango, Jalapeno & Citrus Salsa

Mangos

Jalapeno

Red Onion and Red Bell Pepper

Lime and Orage Juice

Cilantro and Mint

Salt

How Serve Mango, Jalapeno & Citrus Salsa

So as the recipe state, yes this could definitely be used as a salsa served with chips. But it is also great as a side salad at a Summer BBQ. And honestly, you could seriously just eat this straight out of the bowl as your one and only true love and I assure you you would still be quite satisfied!

So easy to make: Chop, Mix, Chill

Once you get through a bit of dicing and chopping. All that’s left to do is combine the prepared mango, bell pepper, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, mint, lime juice, and orange juice.

Mix to combine and season to taste with salt, and stir again. For best flavor, cover and let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or refrigerate if longer.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 mangos diced
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and minced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper chopped
  • ½ cup red onion chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp mint chopped
  • ¼ cup orange juice fresh squeezed
  • ¼ cup lime juice fresh squeezed
  • ½ tsp kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • In a serving bowl, combine the prepared mango, bell pepper, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, mint, lime juice, and orange juice.
  • Stir the ingredients together. Season to taste with salt, and stir again. For best flavor, cover and let the salsa rest for 10 minutes or refriegerate if longer.

Makes about 3 cups of salsa.
